Greek letter Mu, lower case

<p>Mu is the 12th letter of the Greek alphabet. In the system of Greek numerals it has a value of 40. The lower-case letter mu is used as a special symbol in many scientific and academic fields including: Mathematics, chemistry, pharmacology, orbital mechanics, physics and engineering. The Greek alphabet has an important role in the nomenclature of astronomical bodies and subatomic particles. The upper case mu is not used, since it is normally identical to Latin M.</p>
