Choose the Right Wall

The best place for oversized wall art is often the first wall you notice when entering a room. Positioning a large canvas where it naturally draws the eye helps establish a focal point and gives the entire space a more intentional, cohesive feel.

Find the Perfect Size

Scale is key when decorating with large wall art. As a general rule, choose a piece that fills about two-thirds to three-quarters of your wall or the furniture beneath it. Oversized art create a stronger visual impact and help larger spaces feel balanced. Use our size filters to find the perfect size for your space.

Hang it at the Right Height

For the most comfortable viewing experience, hang the center of your artwork about 57–60 inches from the floor, or 4–6 inches above furniture like a sofa, bed, or console table. Proper placement helps your large canvas feel connected to the room rather than floating on the wall.

A few thoughtful finishing touches can make your artwork stand out even more. Pair your large wall art with complementary decor, balanced lighting, and furniture that lets the piece shine.
