As this light/dark duality contradicts Augustinian orthodoxy that God is the one and only good, the author resorts to invoking the classical allegory of Dionysius and Apollo as emblems of darkness and light. This engraving comes from Medicina Catholica by Robert Fludd, printed at Frankfurt in 1629.</p>
