<p>Jody Miller is an American fine-art photographer whose practice has evolved over more than four decades. She began making photographs as a child and received formative training at an Ansel Adams workshop in Carmel, California, before spending 40 years as a designer and animator in Hollywood. Now based in Astoria, Oregon, Miller draws inspiration from the region’s constantly changing light, creating evocative images of landscapes, cityscapes, storms, animals, and atmospheric environments. Her photography is characterized by a strong sense of mood and composition, often using dramatic light, shadow, and carefully observed details to transform ordinary scenes into expressive fine-art photographs.</p>
