Eleanor Doughty is a Seattle-based illustrator and urban sketcher. Sketchbook in hand, she travels her neighborhood and foreign countries the same way, pen in hand, eyes up. She lives with her partner in an apartment by the lake with 60 houseplants, give or take.

A clear fall day allows you to see all the way to the hilltops of New Jersey from high up in a tower in Midtown Manhattan. The artwork captures the height of the skyscrapers in this part of the city in vibrant watercolor, somewhat abstractly.
