Eleven are shown here, with brief descriptions, birth and death years, lifespans, full Arabic names, and (where applicable) Latinised Western names. In chronological order they are: Algorizm, Alkindus, Rhazes, Albucasis, Alhazen, al-Biruni, Avicenna, al-Khayyam, Avenzoar, al-Idrisi, and Averroes.</p>
