This is a view of Atlanta's Fox Theatre, one of the last grand palaces of the film world

Item # 2303770

This is a view of Atlanta's Fox Theatre, one of the last grand palaces of the film world. Built in 1929, at the then staggering cost of $4 1/2-million, the Fox has 5,000 seats and is one of the largest theatres in the world. It boasts one of the largest curved indoor CinemaScope screen in the world and vies with New York's Radio City Music Hall over which houses the largest organ. The architectural design of the theatre simulates a Moorish city, with filmgoers seated in what appears to be a courtyard surrounded by castellated walls and grand towers.
