<p>Eleanor Doughty is a Seattle-based illustrator and urban sketcher. Sketchbook in hand, she travels her neighborhood and foreign countries the same way, pen in hand, eyes up. She lives with her partner in an apartment by the lake with 60 houseplants, give or take.</p>
<p>The woods on the weekends are full of Seattleites hiking around the many trails in the region's Cascade Mountains. Once such area not too far from the city is Mt. Tenerife. We took a break in the shade near the mountainside falls and I sketched the scene in ink and watercolor.</p>
