When a Klingon ship is attacked, Kirk and the crew of the Enterprise, who are accused of the misdeed, must try to find the real perpetrator. Has an exciting, climactic ending. As is typical of the series, the film highlights current events--glasnost--in its plotlines. Meyer also directed Star Trek movie 2 (The Wrath of Khan) and wrote the screenplay for 4 (The Voyage Home).</p>
