<p>After obtaining a diploma in painting, Prince Asher began to practice on his own. Abstract art is where his interest lies and he has now taken it on as his full time job.</p>
<p>A woman with a head scarf carries a voluptuous clay pot as she goes about her daily round. Enveloped in rich, clear color, she exemplifies the work ethic of the West African woman. Prince Asher exalts her effort, beauty and grace. I painted this to show how women go the extra mile to make ends meet, often with little or no rest, he says. There is a strong bond between African women and what they stand for.</p>
