<p>Eleanor Doughty is a Seattle-based illustrator and urban sketcher. Sketchbook in hand, she travels her neighborhood and foreign countries the same way, pen in hand, eyes up. She lives with her partner in an apartment by the lake with 60 houseplants, give or take.</p>
<p>On one weekend a year, New York City's Park Ave is closed to cars and opened to pedestrian and bicyclists! The event is called Summer Streets. I took the opportunity to draw the view from inside the viaduct by Grand Central Station looking north up the avenue. Drawn with ink in a calligraphy pen and digital color added later.</p>
