Bunsen burners are used to boil the water in the conical flask (left) and keep the reaction flask (centre) warm. Steam passes through the tube connecting the conical and reaction flasks, bubbling through the reaction mixture (yellow) and carrying phenylamine into the water-cooled condenser (right).
