<p>Eleanor Doughty is a Seattle-based illustrator and urban sketcher. Sketchbook in hand, she travels her neighborhood and foreign countries the same way, pen in hand, eyes up. She lives with her partner in an apartment by the lake with 60 houseplants, give or take.</p>
<p>Cliffside houses look down on the seascape and beachgoers in Oceanside Beach, west of Tillamook. Waves break onto the shore and rock formations rise out of the ocean in the distance. I painted this on a misty late June day on a road trip.</p>
