<p>Scott Jarvie grew up in the San Diego area and loves to travel with his camera by his side. His collection of photographs include Mormon Temples, each one lovingly captured during his excursions around the United States.</p>
<p>The Nauvoo Illinois Temple overlooks the Mississippi River and is a reproduction of the original temple under the same name that was built in the 1840s and later destroyed by arson in 1848 and tornadoes in 1850. A prominent feature of the Nauvoo Temple is a statue of the founder Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum Smith.</p>
