Sheen is okay as pitcher Ricky Wild Thing Vaughan, who suffers with control problems (both on and off the field), while Bernsen (as third baseman Roger Dorn) seems to be gazing affectionately at L.A. Law from a distance. Predictable sports spoof is good for a few laughs, particularly those scenes involving Haysbert as slugger Pedro Cerrano with voodoo on his mind (and in his locker) and Snipes as base stealer Willie Mays Hayes, whose only problem is getting on base. Followed by two sequels.</p>
