Many of the designs he created for LMS and LNER were reissued by British Railways. Using deeply saturated shades that are unusual for a watercolorist, he captures the entire bay scene??strolling crowds, looming cathedral, colored lights strung like sequins around the beach??right down to the flower clocks.</p>
