<p>Jurassic landscape. Coloured updating of the famous artwork Duria Antiquior (Ancient Devon), painted 1830 by English geologist Henry De la Beche. The Jurassic Period was 200 to 146 million years ago. Shown here are: cycads, tree ferns, proto-cypress conifers, Williamsonia and Araucaria plants, Ichthyosaur, Plesiosaurus dolichodeirus, Pelagosaurus typhus (crocodile), Proganochelys (turtle), Scelidosaurus harrisoni, Dimorphodon macronyx (pterosaur), Pycnodont, Dapedium politum, Caturus heterurus, Pholidophorus bechei (all fish), ammonites, nautilus, belemnites, Gryphaea arcuata (bivalve mollusc), gastropods, crinoids and coprolites.</p>
