<p>Eleanor Doughty is a Seattle-based illustrator and urban sketcher. Sketchbook in hand, she travels her neighborhood and foreign countries the same way, pen in hand, eyes up. She lives with her partner in an apartment by the lake with 60 houseplants, give or take.</p>
<p>The artist used to play here in Dubois Park as a child, and came back for a visit a few decades later. She sat by a bridge and captured the clear water with todayos children playing in the shallows of the Loxahatchee River just off the Atlantic Ocean. The original illustration was created with watercolor, acrylic, and markers.</p>
