<p>Eleanor Doughty is a Seattle-based illustrator and urban sketcher. Sketchbook in hand, she travels her neighborhood and foreign countries the same way, pen in hand, eyes up. She lives with her partner in an apartment by the lake with 60 houseplants, give or take.</p>
<p>If you've been to Gas Works Park in Seattle, you've encountered the thousand or so canadian geese that make it their turf. Eleanor painted one of the old refineries on the north side of Lake Union in watercolor on a typical bright summer's day, and made sure to include some of these common fixtures. Every Seattleite has some story of a goose encounter here.</p>
