<p>Best known for his Aviation Art work, Stu Shepherd is an illustrator and Graphic Designer from Northern California. Stu works in both tradition media (acrylic and oil paint) as well digitally. His works are bright and colorful because that is how he sees the world.</p>

Piloted by Capt. Dick Coe and RIO Lt. Ken Webb, this 34th TFS - 388 TFW Phantom shot down a MiG over North Vietnam on 5 October 1972. Using one of the then unreliable Sparrow missiles to force the MiG into a closer engagement, Dick Coe's shot managed to hit the MiG while the Phantom pulled heavy Gs to avoid another brace of MiGs. They made it home, but were unsure of the kill until it was confirmed the following day.</p>
