<p>Eleanor Doughty is a Seattle-based illustrator and urban sketcher. Sketchbook in hand, she travels her neighborhood and foreign countries the same way, pen in hand, eyes up. She lives with her partner in an apartment by the lake with 60 houseplants, give or take.</p>
<p>Seattle's waterfront piers provide an excellent view of the blue waters of the Puget Sound. Elliott Bay is the body of water that touches downtown. We can see the iconic ferry docked at the terminal, the stadiums past Pioneer Square, and the enormous peak of Mount Rainier (Tahoma) towering above it all. Sailboats are docked in the marina in the foreground.</p>
