This view of the Empire State Building and Manhattan's Midtown far from original, but being a New Yorker, believe it or not, I have never been to the Top of the Rock before today:) It always amazed me how we locals fail to see what lies right in front of our eyes in our own city. You really have to transform yourself into being a tourist in order to see and appreciate all of what your home town has to offer... I didn't plan to go the Top of the Rock today since it's not only Christmas, but also the weather was kinda dull and uninspiring... I thought to myself, ah, what the hell, let me go and the check the spot out, so that I will be fully prepared for the next time when the weather, the light and the clouds all come together for a spectacular view... This shot isn't meant to impress anybody... I just wanted to share what I saw today with all of you:)</p>
