<p>The Square of the Republic is the largest square in the modern section of Belgrade, capital of Yugoslavia. Trolley buses are almost the only mean of transportation in the city, which therefore has no traffic problems. Facing the square is Yugoslavia's national theater, and on left is a bronze statue dedicated to Prince Michailov, Serbian national hero of the Turkish Wars. Beyond the low rooftops is the Danube.</p>
