<p>February 13, 2011 - A U.S. Marine Corps CH-46E Sea Knight helicopter takes off from the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD-2) during a helicopter raid exercise in the Gulf of Thailand. The raid was part of exercise Cobra Gold 2011, a regularly scheduled joint/combined exercise designed to ensure regional peace and strengthen the ability of the Royal Thai Armed Forces to defend Thailand or respond to regional contingencies.</p>
