<p>Eleanor Doughty is a Seattle-based illustrator and urban sketcher. Sketchbook in hand, she travels her neighborhood and foreign countries the same way, pen in hand, eyes up. She lives with her partner in an apartment by the lake with 60 houseplants, give or take.</p>
<p>The tallest building in Taiwan, once the world, makes all the other skyscrapers around it look tiny by comparison. I painted this scene on a rainy day in the capital, capturing the striking architecture in the distance.</p>
