Item # 2541563

Scott Jarvie

Scott Jarvie grew up in the San Diego area and loves to travel with his camera by his side. His collection of photographs include Mormon Temples, each one lovingly captured during his excursions around the United States.

The St. George Utah Temple was the first operating temple. The temple site was originally dedicated in 1871 by Brigham Young and it was most recently dedicated again in 1975, more than 100 years later, by Spencer W. Kimball. The St. George Temple was the only one to be completed while Brigham Young served as president of the Church of Latter-day Saints. It has undergone some renovations since it was built, primarily to repair and update damaged areas.
