<p>Eleanor Doughty is a Seattle-based illustrator and urban sketcher. Sketchbook in hand, she travels her neighborhood and foreign countries the same way, pen in hand, eyes up. She lives with her partner in an apartment by the lake with 60 houseplants, give or take.</p>
<p>One evening in Tokyo, I captured the world-famous Shibuya Scramble in central Tokyo in a night scene. I wanted to show the iconic crosswalks as well as the massive crowds traversing the intersection, so I used transparent markers and watercolor to render the scene. Can you feel the energy?</p>
