<p>Eleanor Doughty is a Seattle-based illustrator and urban sketcher. Sketchbook in hand, she travels her neighborhood and foreign countries the same way, pen in hand, eyes up. She lives with her partner in an apartment by the lake with 60 houseplants, give or take.</p>
<p>The most visited spot in Seattle, Pike Place Market, with good reason because there's so much to discover here. The market is especially lovely during December when it's decked out for the holiday. The "Public Market Center" sign announces it's the place to shop! I drew this across the street at an outdoor table with graphite, then finished it with digital color.</p>
