Lake Oswego Hay Fields

Item # 2561178

Steve Hammond

Steve is never outside without his camera. It is the tool that he uses to inspire his paintings. Whether it is a sunset on the ocean or an athlete on a field, he shoots his images with a painting in mind. His graphic background gives his work a bold approach to his work.

Lake Oswego Oregon is known for the Lake but it also has some great small farms in the hills not far from the lake. The sun is the hero in this bold painting of a freshly cut hay field with the long cool shadows on a warm field, with a tiny red barn in the distance. The beauty of the painting is how simple it is, but it tells a strong story.
