About Diego Rivera
Diego Rivera (1886-1957) was a Mexican artist who worked in the Cubism and Post-Impressionism styles of art. Rivera was also involved with politics and known as an international art celebrity during his lifetime. He stood out among his contemporaries for his creation of large-scale murals in public places. Many of his works were politically motivated and featured pro-leftist subject matter. In Rivera’s personal life, he had multiple marriages and children, including a marriage to the famous Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.
