<p>Eleanor Doughty is a Seattle-based illustrator and urban sketcher. Sketchbook in hand, she travels her neighborhood and foreign countries the same way, pen in hand, eyes up. She lives with her partner in an apartment by the lake with 60 houseplants, give or take.</p>
<p>Drawing I made at the foot of the famously under construction cathedral by Gaudi. I used a minimal approach to capture selective details in the architecture, and included the cranes in red because, let's face it, they're almost part of the building at this point! And their geometric, straight shapes add something in contrast to the organic forms.</p>
