<p>11/3/1973-Kennedy Space Center, FL- The Mariner spacecraft, about 500 kilograms, including 78 kilograms of scientific equipment, was launched from Cape Kennedy at 12:45 a.m. EST by an Atlas-Centaur from Complex 39B. It will fly by Venus in early February, 1974, and Mercury late in March, 1974. Two television cameras aboard Mariner 10 will take about 8000 pictures of the two planets.</p>
