Digestive system, artwork

Item # 1140145

Roger Harris

Digestive system. Computer artwork of a naked woman with a healthy digestive system. Food is ingested through the mouth and passes down the oesophagus (long thin tube) to the stomach. The food is stored and partially broken down in the stomach before moving on to the small intestine (coils, centre) to be digested. Food residue passes from the small intestine to the large intestine (ribbed) where excess water is reabsorbed. The faeces is then expelled through the anus.
